New Goals for 2010

So I'm setting some new goals for 2010.  I'm learning that I just can't do too much at one time.  Unfortunately, once I start to have success at something, there's something in me that doesn't like to or doesn't think I am good enough for that success.  So here are my goals for 2010 - they are a mix of cross-stitch, exercise, and personal.

2010 Goals

Blog once a week
Exercise 3x a week
Start & Finish a Quaker Sampler

Catch up on and then continue the Papillon Mystery SAL 2009
Stitch a birth sampler for Emma
Start & Finish Mirabilia "Winter Queen" for Therese
Start Mirabilia "Autumn in my Garden" for MIL
Do a Christmas ornie for each of my children & Granddaughter
Organize my floss
Continue to see my therapist
Journal at least 3x a week

One of my goals for myself this year is to not pretend to be "Happy".  It's hard to explain this.  I was always the "Peacekeeper" in my home growing up.  I had 3 brothers (very loud and arguing brothers) and a divorced Mom who worked 2-3 jobs just to keep things going.  I learned to never express how I felt or say what I wanted or needed.  I just took care of my brothers and my Mom and as for me....well that wasn't important.  What was important was that they were happy and cared for.  Unfortunately, that has really hurt me in my adult life.  I tend to worry more about how others around me are feeling and it's been at the expense of my own feelings and my ability to really know how to show/express my own anger/sadness/frustration or other feelings.  I keep that "Happy" face on and am afraid to and don't know how to show otherwise.  So this year, I am learning how to NOT put on that "Happy" face, and just be me....warts and all.

Alright, enough of the heavy serious stuff.  Here are some pictures of my beautiful GranddaughterHere are Therese and Bryan the night after she was born.  And in turn, these are my boys with their new niece.  Devan, Caelan & then my youngest Todd.

  Thanks for sharing my joy!

Good luck with your 2010 goals. I've started a new exercise routine. I'm hoping to do at least 3x a week.
